William Raymond Norwood Jr. (born on January 17 1981 in McComb, Mississippi), better known as Ray J, is an American R&B singer and actor best known as a co-star on his sister Brandy's UPN sitcom Moesha as Dorian Long. The son of manager Sonja Norwood, Ray J has had a minor recording career which emerged in the late 1990s and is currently signed to his own label Knockout Entertainment with a joint venture with Sanctuary Records Group. Formerly, Ray J was the host of the BET show, 106 & Park. The show consists of showing the top 10 videos. In 2005, Ray J joined the cast of UPN's One On One, where he plays the character of D-Mack.

In the past, he dated Karrine Steffans, a self-proclaimed professional rap music groupie/sex escort, and the author of "Confessions of a Video Vixen". Ray J is first cousins with rap icon Snoop Dogg [citation needed].
